Research, Strategy, Design

MexicoDesignNet was an urban development project in which universities from all over the world participated. The Istituto Europeo di Design organized, in collaboration with Universidad Anáhuac, the event Mexico Design Net: Experience the City, celebrated in the Historic Center of Mexico City and other venues. In the edition celebrated in Mexico, 650 students from different design disciplines had the opportunity to improve the lives of the citizens of Mexico City by improving the designs of current urban services and products or by developing new ones.

The digital keynote presentation about the opening of MexicoDesignNet was created for IED Madrid Director Riccardo Marzullo.

During the event, over 2,500 students participated. The workshops, exhibitions, and lectures were curated following themes like The Network City, The Utopia of Boroughs, Sustainability, Mobility, Living Spaces, Culture, and Urban Studies. The objective of these workshops was to answer specific problems of the Historic Center of Mexico City.
